Yael
Dr. Levi said you don’t have to start from day one. Just tell me one moment you remember clearly. I'll keep everything without pressing.
Ori
I remember one light. It never went off, but it didn’t shine enough to tell if it was morning. I counted days by the water bottles they left near the door.
Yael
Are you sure you want to keep going now?
Ori
Yeah. When I stop, the memory chooses what to keep for me. On day 47, Yusuf came in alone. He put the food down and didn’t look at me.
Yael
Yusuf was the guard?
Ori
One of them. That’s the name he gave me. I don’t know if it's real. That day, he said, "Samir, eat."
Yael
Who’s Samir?
Ori
I asked him exactly that.
Memory — Day 47
Ori
My name is Ori. You know that. Who’s Samir?
Yusuf
I didn’t say Samir.
Ori
You did. For weeks, you called me "you." Suddenly there was that name. Does he look like me?
Yusuf
Don’t ask about my family.
Ori
Every day you ask about my family. Where my sister lives, who might recognize my voice, what I’ll say if you let me speak. Now you answer one question.
Yusuf
Samir is my little brother. He disappeared two years ago. Sit quietly and eat.
Ori
Does your family wait for a call that never comes?
Yusuf
My family has nothing to do with you.
Ori
The moment you called me his name, you linked us. For one second, you looked at me like you’re the one sitting on the floor, waiting for someone to open the door.
Yusuf
You think one conversation makes us the same?
Ori
No. You can open the door and I can’t. That’s all that matters now.
Yusuf
And if you get out, what will you do? Tell everyone you knew me?
Ori
If I get out, I will write down the names of everyone who was here. Those taken. And those who guarded. So no one can say no one knew.
Yusuf
Don’t write my name.
Ori
Then give me another name to remember.
Yusuf
Remember Samir.
Yael
Ori, that’s enough for today. I sent your note to Dr. Levi like we agreed. You’re home. The door is open. I’m in the room next door.
Ori
There’s one more detail. After that talk, he stopped looking me in the eyes. But the next day, I found a piece of cardboard by the bottle, with one word: "Samir."
Dr. Levi
Ori, Yael added me. Don’t try to decide right now if the cardboard was a threat, a call for help, or a way to control you. Just write what you saw and felt.
Ori
I felt he wanted me to carry someone I didn’t know with me. Like part of the tunnel will stay with me even after I’m out.
Yael
Your phone is ringing. Unknown number. Want me to answer?
Ori
No. It’s a message.
Yael
From whom?
Ori
No name. Just a photo of a piece of cardboard and words: "You said you would write the names of everyone who was there. Don’t forget Samir."
Next episode: Ori received a message that only someone inside the tunnel could have sent. Who else knows about Samir besides him and Yusuf? What secret is still trapped in the dark?
